Nov. 8-12

This is just a reminder that we will not be meeting on Wednesday because of rotation, and on Thursday because of Veteran's Day. That means you have two extra days to work on catching up on any reading you may have missed.
You all did a great job on the discussion today. To recap some important points that were made:
Lennie's character is considered "flat". He does not grow or develop, yet his simplicity makes him seem vulnerable, and therefore we, as readers, feel sympathy towards him.
Women are not viewed kindly by Steinbeck. They bring trouble and strife, and are not portrayed in any positive light.

So again, great job, and keep up the good work. We will be in the computer lab on Friday, so please go straight there instead of coming to the classroom first. Make sure you have your questions with you for the reading even though we will not be having a discussion that day, as I will be collecting them. Have a great few days off!
